The purpose of the role is to provide void property clearance service, contributing to the overall voids and lettings process. The role delivers the initial part of the voids and lettings process, which aims to minimise the time properties are empty. This role also contributes to the waste removal process on high-rise blocks by removing bulky waste on a weekly basis.

Main Duties:

•          Ensure the delivery a high quality and efficient void clearance service by removing all goods, items of furniture and floor coverings as directed,  leaving the property in a tidy manner and ready for the next phase of the voids and lettings process.

•          Ensure duties are undertaken in line with daily task schedules provided.

•          Ensure that standards of work are delivered to a high standard to maximise efficiency of the clearance process.

•          Report repairs and identified hazards as necessary, adopting an ‘eyes wide open approach and being mindful of safeguarding and associated policy and   procedure.

•          Assist customers with any queries about the service and signpost them to   other services as required.

•          Ensure all customers and members of the public are dealt with in a polite     and courteous way.

•          Participate in community events and clean up days as and when required.

•          Work in close collaboration with Prima Group colleagues to react to priorities and emerging issues as they arise within neighbourhoods.

•          Ensure that all duties are undertaken in compliance with health and safety at work act 1974.

•          Ensure that all training is attended and relevant PPE is worn at all times.

•          Ensure that all risk assessments are complied with and that any risk mitigation measures are effected including postponing or adjusting work processes.

•          Ensure that the work activity being undertaken is done so with due regard to the potential impact on members of the public and others who may be within the vicinity.

•          Ensure that wherever practicable, work areas are cordoned off and/or appropriate warning signage is displayed in the locality at the outset of all work activity.

•          Ensure that any dangerous occurrences or incidents are reported immediately to your line manager.

•          Attend ad hoc training sessions as and when required to maintain service standards and support learning and good practice in the team.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong awareness of organisational priorities

  • Full driving licence

  • Experience of working with people in a polite and  professional manner

  • Experience of working in  a similar role
