Rent Increase 2025: What You Need to Know

You should have received a letter confirming your new rent amount, which will take effect from 12th May 2025.

If you pay by Direct Debit

You don’t need to do anything – we’ll automatically update your Direct Debit for you.

If you pay by Standing Order

You will need to contact your bank in good time to change the payment amount. If you don’t, you may end up underpaying your rent and falling into arrears.

If you receive full Housing Benefit

You don’t need to take any action – your local authority will be informed of the change.

If you claim Universal Credit

You do not need to update your journal until 12th May 2025. We will send you a reminder on that date. Please do not update your journal early – any updates submitted before 12th May will be rejected, and you will need to resubmit the information.
