Prima Group present their first Leasowe Fun Day
After months of planning, we hosted the Leasowe Fun Day for the first time on Thursday 21st August, and we were overwhelmed and honoured by the turnout.
Over 500 residents came to eat, play, and meet as a community with so much reason to be proud. 0151 Entertainment gave us a party to remember, local sellers showed the creativity that makes Leasowe special, and charities & support services gave their time to speak with attendees about their missions.
Through our children activity book, and with the help of the brilliant Addy staff, we served over 350 hotdogs & burgers, and 350 drinks, ice creams, and candy floss’. We asked for their thoughts on the day in one word, and heard ‘FAB’, ‘AWESOME’, and ‘SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS’… High praise!
We’d love to thank all of you individually, but we’ll settle for some key players. Firstly, Paul Townley, Marie Scott, Danny Mac, and Vera, who supported us amazingly in making today happen. We’d also like to thank St John Ambulance, RNLI, Merseyside Police, NHS Cheshire and Wirral Partnership, Enterprise Credit Union, Mind Wirral, Stop Loan Sharks, The Army, Tomorrow’s Women, Tranmere Rovers in The Community, The Hive, Community Connectors, Wirral FUSS, Raise Advice, Energy Projects Plus, Peninsula Nutrition, Leasowe Lighthouse, and all our local sellers for generously volunteering their time to host stands. Finally we’d love to thank all of those who gave their time to volunteer at the Addy. None of this could have happened without all of you, and we’re incredibly grateful to have seen you there.
Hope to see you all again next year!
