Poet Streets Partnership brings a Community Together with Poets Fun Day

Prima Group had the privilege of attending the Poets Fun Day on the 12th of August at Poets Park, held by The Poet Streets Partnership.

The event was a resounding success, with 0151 Entertainment providing the music, fun, and prizes for the children, as well as giving out vouchers for free food.

Merseyside Police attended with a dress up box, allowing for fantastic photo opportunities, and St John Ambulance offered introductions to first aid procedures aimed towards children.

As well as fun for kids, numerous support services hosted outreach for their guardians. This included Crosby Housing Association, who offered pre-loved school uniform bundles and friendly service, Central Credit Union, who were present to answer questions about their service, and South Sefton Primary Care, raising awareness for mental health and social prescribing services.

As the sun was out, free water was provided for attendants. We heard from residents that the event helped them to meet their neighbours, had their children make new friends, and one new resident stated that the event helped him feel more comfortable settling his family here.
