Do you know of a local community group or charity doing good in the community that could benefit from a one-off £1000 payment to continue improving the lives of Prima Group tenants?

Our Community Impact Fund allows you to nominate your own organisation or one you are aware of for a payment to help improve the local area. 

The recipient would have to let us know how they will spend the payment, but the idea is completely up to them; it just needs to benefit Prima Group tenants and the area they live in.

The payment must be spent on improving the lives of Prima Group tenants.

Guidance Notes

The following form should be used by organisations and groups wishing to apply for the Prima Community Impact Fund.

The Community Impact Fund welcomes applications from not-for-profit organisations that will impact Prima customers and the communities they live in. The fund is open to all ideas, but we especially welcome applications that address one or more of the following concerns which align with our objectives

  1. Health

  2. Wellbeing

  3. Finance

This includes:

  • Funding for new groups where Prima customers are within the majority (non-constituted groups must liaise with an established not-for-profit organisation for them to hold the funding on their behalf and are recommended to contact Prima prior to applying)

  • Prima sheltered schemes where no constituted group are in existence. These schemes must liaise with the relevant Sheltered Scheme manager prior to applying.

  • Organisations must have a bank account in their own name (New groups may wish to apply but should seek an established organisation to hold funding on their behalf)

  • Organisations must provide copies of the relevant supporting information and policies (Health & Safety, DBS checks) where appropriate

  • Prima must be recognised as a funder in all literature relating to the project, event, or activity.

  • Information must be submitted within your application about the potential impact of the project, event, or activity and what effect this will have on beneficiaries and the wider community

  • Copies of all receipts, expenditure, and evidence relating to the project i.e. photographs, feedback must be submitted at the end of the project, event, or activity.

  • All projects, events, or activities must be completed within 12 months of your start date, and project monitoring must be completed and returned to Prima by one week after the completion date, unless we are given notice that more time is needed.

  • Project monitoring will be required on a quarterly basis with the dates for this to be agreed with the lead of the project. We will also require an end of project evaluation. For both the quarterly and end of project evaluation, Prima will supply a form for both.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

The Prima Community Impact Fund cannot provide funding for the following:

  • Vehicles

  • Medical Research

  • Grants to Individuals

  • Grant making bodies

  • Replacement funding (where funding has been withdrawn or due to end)

  • Loans

  • Political activities

  • Animal welfare

  • Promotion of religion

Decision Process and Appeals

The fund is coordinated by Prima’s Community Cohesion Officer in close corporation with PRIMA Housing Officers and company Directors.

Applications will be considered as/when received.

Applicants should note that funding is limited and therefore not all applications will be successful.

Prima will acknowledge receipt of your application via email within 7 working days (if you have supplied an email address) – if you fail to hear from us within this period please contact us on 0151 227 1001.

If you are successful you must complete Prima’s Grant Acceptance Form prior to funding being released.

The Prima Community Impact Fund panel process will be final with no appeals process
