Prima Group Working With The Oliver King Foundation To Install Defibrillators in Over 55s Properties

We have been working with The Oliver King Foundation to install defibrillators at our over 55s schemes in Litherland, Bootle and Aigburth. Training in the use of the machines was delivered to not only staff but also tenants at each of the schemes, and at our head office.

We have installed defibrillators at Chestnut Court, Jericho Court, Maud Roberts Court and our new Leasowe office. These are in addition to the one we installed earlier this year at Columbus Quay, our head office in Liverpool.

The defibrillators have been registered with the National Defibrillator Network and also North West Ambulance Service, which means that if someone is in need of one in an emergency, the emergency services will let the caller know where the nearest one is.

You can find your nearest defibrillator here.

About The Oliver King Foundation

Oliver King was a 12-year-old boy who attended King David High School in Liverpool. While winning a swimming race in a PE lesson, he tragically suffered a sudden cardiac arrest due to a condition known as Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS). This condition kills 12 young people under the age of 35 every single week in the UK. Sadly, there was no lifesaving defibrillator on hand, and for every minute that passed, his chances of survival dropped significantly.

In his memory, The Oliver King Foundation’s work has saved 69+ lives, placing over 5900 lifesaving defibrillators across the UK and 135,000 staff trained in CPR and defibrillation.

The Oliver King Foundation exists to ensure that no other family has to suffer a similar loss to that of Oliver King.

The work that the foundation does is invaluable. If you would like to donate to the foundation, you can do so here.
