Important Information if You Claim Universal Credit

If you claim Universal Credit (UC), you may have received a task asking you to confirm your new rent.

The rent on your home will increase from Monday 13th May 2024. If you receive a task before this date asking for your new rent, please do not complete this until 13th May 2024 - otherwise, you will have to re-submit this information after the rent change.

Another reminder will be sent on the 13th May 2024, and you can then report the change through your online account by selecting, report a change and where you live and what it costs. All the details you will need to update the task will be in your rent review letter you will have received recently.
